“It’s Your Call” KVCR TV – Housing Counseling Available

Broadcast 6/19/09 - KVCR had Melinda Opperman, the vice president of community outreach for Springboard.org, a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping people get financially on-track and become viable and self-sufficient, in studio to answer questions from host Roger Bowman and from viewers. In response to the crisis, Springboard provides on-staff HUD counselors who help people determine if they qualify for loan modifications or other forms of assistance to help them keep their home. Also in the studio was Ryan Escamilla-Woods, a homeownership retention specialist with another local non-profit, Neighborhood Partnership Housing Services. WATCH HERE

Broadcast 6/12/09 - KVCR's continuing series on the housing crisis has host Roger Bowman asking the executive directors of the greater Los Angeles and Inland Empire regions' 2-1-1 services about how they help callers get in touch with resources that can solve the housing problems in our communities. The guests for the call-in show is Maribel Marin and Lyz Melendez of the Los Angeles 2-1-1, Judy Bowden of the Orange County 2-1-1, Craig Redelsperger of Riverside 2-1-1, and Gary Madden of San Bernardino 2-1-1.
